The WT5100 wired dome camera is intended for general purpose indoor use. It can be installed anywhere in a room or indoor space. Installation on a flat ceiling is particularly convenient.. This camera has a moderately wide angle lens and will view most of a room if mounted on the ceiling near one corner. Since the dome camera has PoE power built in, this method or powering the camera is a good choice. Parts required for each type of installation are shown below.

The dome camera wired installation is the most economical but does require a power outlet somewhere near the camera. The Network Cable may be as long at 300 feet. We offer pre-made cable in lengths of 25, 50 or 100 feet.

The use of Power over Ethernet as part of the installation eliminates the need for a power outlet near the camera but requires the use of the Power Injector. Since the dome camera is PoE capable, the splitter is not required. The Network Cable is also limited to 300 feet. Standard and PoE camera installations may be mixed on one router.
