The WT7100 wired outdoor camera is intended for general purpose outdoor or indoor use. This camera has a moderate angle lens and should be carefully positioned for best view. Parts required this PoE installation are shown below.

We strongly recommend the use of PoE to power this camera. PoE is built into the camera so that only the injector is required. This eliminates the need to provide AC power at the camera location, saves work, and makes the system safer.

The use of Power over Ethernet as part of the installation eliminates the need for a power outlet near the camera but requires the use of the Power Injector. The Network Cable is also limited to 300 feet. Standard and PoE camera installations may be mixed on one router.
