Using Existing Standard Security Cameras

If you have an existing security system that you wish to replace with a modern and reliable Who's There Internet-based account, is is often possible to use the conventional security cameras that are already in place. Simply connect the coaxial cables from the cameras to the WT2400Q Converter and connect a short CAT5 Ethernet cable from the Converter to your Router.

The cameras will all work as they did before and you will enjoy all the features and advantages of Who's There video off-site management.

How It Works

The WT2400Q Converter provide a very simple and reliable way to use up to four standard security cameras with our Who's There service. This converter adapts the coaxial cable signals from the standard security camera to Internet operation. Standard security cameras have BNC type video connections that look like the ones on the WT2400Q.

WT2400 Converter

If you have cameras the are IP network enabled these may be used and do not require the WT2400 Converter. Generally, if the camera has an Ethernet (RJ45) connector it is IP network enabled.
